Saturday field trips: October 18, 2008 (Smith Point and Flax Pond) and November 15, 2008 (Montauk)
Participation in the field trips is required, and attendance will be taken. Although attendance is not taken for the lectures, you are responsible for all subject matter that is presented during class, and any details related to the logistics of the course that are discussed.
Note that grading involves two exams and a project. The project may consist of either 1) original research, 2) a new educational tool, or 3) a lesson plan in standard format.

Carpooling: Please arrange to carpool, since a large caravan would likely become fragmented during the trip.
