To determine your pace:
1. walk a specified amount of steps
2. measure the total distance walked
3. divide that distance by the total number of steps
4. this number is the average length of each step or your pace

calc2.JPG (204101 bytes) Clare and Courtney are working on the first mapping excercise which involves a list of bearings and distances.  Their job is to determine if there was closure.  This involved graph paper and a review of basic triginometry.  Courtney thinks this is fun. jacob2.jpg (27662 bytes)
